About Us
My name is Cortney and I am just a country mama from southern Ohio. I have two beautiful little girls, and a husband, who is sometimes an asshole. I work a full time job outside of the home, and for anyone that has kids and a spouse, you know I work a full time job at home as well.
We are a very active family. We love animals, cars and racing, gardening, and so much other random shit. We are not that perfect little put together family you typically see on facebook. You know, the ones that always Vlog from their $250,000 kitchen and take those wonderful vacations where I am pretty sure they pay a professional photographer to follow them around while they are shooting rainbows out of their asses.
We are loud, and we are messy. Lifestyles of the not so rich and famous.
So, I am new to this whole blogging thing. I am really hoping to find some people out there like us and form some kind of fucked up community of down-to-earth, sarcastic assholes that like to live the country life, or aspire to.
I am literally writing this while I am in my weekend mom attire with a baby next to me that, I am pretty sure, has pooped.
Mom attire yea, that’s a poop smile
I am going to keep it real with you all. Everything I post is coming to you straight. No sugar coating, no fluffing. #realife
Our Homestead
We have about 11 acres of flat, open land, that I have lots of Ideas for. We bought 5.5 acres in 2011 with a little 3 bedroom modular home on it. 2 years ago, we had the opportunity to buy 5.5 more acres next to us, with a barn and trailer on it. We bought that, and moved my dad in to it.
I am very adamant about starting a farm/ homesteading.
As of now, we have like 30 some chickens, a dog, 9 rabbits and 7 ducks. I have an animal problem. I just can’t freaking say no to them.
My dream is to turn this land into a full homestead, with an orchard, large gardens, barns and fenced in animal pastures. It is taking longer than I had expected though because well, shits expensive.
I am going to share it all with you. Every step of the way. Every win, and every set back. The funny, the bad, the sad…all of it.
Hope you will all join me! Follow me on Facebook and Instagram to see whats up!
