Whether its cold outside or not, sometimes you just get a hankering for some good chili. There are so many recipes out there that will have you gathering and chopping everything from your garden. My recipe will not. So if you are looking for something like that, this is probably not what you want. My recipe, on the other hand, is pretty much dump and go. This simple, flavorful chili can be done and ready in about a half hour.
Some people say beans don’t belong in chili…but when you are broke and need to feed a family, beans are a perfect filler and also provide a little nutrients, which is why my simple flavorful chili recipe has beans in it.
Simple, Flavorful Chili Recipe

You will need:
- Large soup pan
- Measuring spoons and cups
- Soup ladle
Ingredients:
- 1-2 lbs. ground beef
- 2 cans beans (I use one cam kidney and one black bean)
- 1 family size can tomato soup
- 2 cans diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup salsa
- 1 tbsp. taco seasoning
- 1 tsp onion powder (1/2 cup diced fresh onion)
Steps:
- Fry ground beef and onion (onion powder) until brown
- Strain grease and return to heat
- Add soup, tomatoes, beans and salsa and stir
- Stir in taco seasoning
- Bring to simmer, stirring occasionally
- Remove from heat and enjoy!

Simple, Flavorful Chili Recipe
Ingredients
- 1-2 lbs Ground Beef
- 2 cans Beans (can be black, kidney, or pinto)
- 1 Family Size Can Tomato soup
- 2 Cans Diced tomatoes
- 1/2 Cup Salsa
- 1 TBSP Taco Seasoning
- 1 TSP Onion Powder OR 1/2 cup diced onions
Instructions
- Fry ground beef and onion (onion powder) until brown
- Strain grease and return to heat
- Add soup, tomatoes, beans and salsa and stir
- Stir in taco seasoning
- Bring to simmer, stirring occasionally
- Remove from heat and enjoy!
