Here in southern Ohio, we are all about cheap and easy comfort foods. This Smoked Sausage and Green Bean Dish can be altered in many ways to suit your taste. And if you know me, than you probably know by now that my recipes are not only easy, but affordable as well.
I make this dish for many occasions. I even have folks request it for get togethers.
Smoked Sausage and Green Bean Dish
Tools Needed:
- Medium sized pot
- Sharp knife
- Spatula
- Slotted spoon for serving
Ingredients:
- Smoked Sausage (with or without skin, your preference)
- Small onion
- 5-8 Red potatoes
- 2 Cans Green beans (un-drained)
- Salt
- Pepper



Steps:
- Wash and dice potatoes
- Dice onion and smoked sausage
- Fry Sausage and onion together in the bottom of a medium sized pot until sausage is browned
- Reduce heat to medium and add green beans, potatoes, and fill pot half way with water
- Cover and let cook 15-20 minutes or until potatoes are tender, stirring occasionally
- Add salt and Pepper to taste
- Enjoy!
**** If Making in an Instant Pot
- Fry sausage on “sauté” mode
- add all ingredients as per recipe BUT when adding the water, add only 3 cups
- Seal and cook for 8 minutes
- manually release steam

Smoked Sausage and Green Bean Dish
Smoked sausage, green beans, and potatoes
Ingredients
- 1 package Smoked Sausage diced
- 1 Small Onion diced
- 5-8 medium sized Red Potatoes
- 2 Cans Green Beans un-drained
- Salt
- Pepper
Instructions
- Dice and wash potatoes- set aside
- Dice onion and smoked sausage
- Fry onion and sausage together until sausage is browned
- Turn heat down to medium
- Add green beans, and potatoes
- Fill pan half way with water and cover
- Cook on medium for 15-20 minutes (or until potatoes are tender), stirring occasionally
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Enjoy!
